Geography: The Missouri River flows through town. Holter Lake is 25 miles south of town, and the Rocky Mountain Front is west of town. The Little Belt Mountains lie southeast of town and the Big Belt Mountains are south of town. The Gates of the Mountains Wilderness is on the northern of the Big Belt Mountains.

Transportation: Cascade, Montana is located off of Interstate 15 south of Great Falls.  Great Falls International Airport is 27 miles northeast.

Weather: Average high temperature in the summer ranges from 74° in June, 84° in July, and 83° in August, with average lows in the high 40s to low 50s.  June usually has the most rainfall with an average of 3.04 inches. The average high temperature in the winter ranges from 38° in December, 34° in January, and 39° in February, with average lows in the mid teens.  The average snowfall in December and January is 9.5 inches.
