Geography: Culbertson is located in along the Missouri River in the prairie of eastern Montana.  The Medicine Lake National Wildlife Refuge is north of town.

Transportation: Culbertson, Montana is located in the northeast corner of the state on the Hi-Line, 23 miles from the North Dakota border and 60 miles from the Canadian border.  Sloulin Field International Airport in Williston, ND is the closest full service airport located about 62 miles east of town.

Weather:  Average high temperature in the summer ranges from 77° in June, 85° in July, and 84° in August, with average lows in the high 40s to low 50s.  June usually has the most rainfall with an average of 3.03 inches. The average high temperature in the winter ranges from 27° in December, 21° in January, and 27° in February, with average lows below zero and in the  single digits.  The average snowfall in December and January is 5  inches.
