Geography: Eureka sits in the Tobacco Valley completely surrounded by the Kootenai National Forest the Eureka area which provides unlimited recreational opportunities.   Nearby is Lake Koocanusa, the Kootenai River, and the Tobacco River.

Transportation: Eureka is located about five minutes south of the Canadian Port of Entry at Roosville.  Eureka is along Hwy 93 about 69 miles northwest of Kalispell.  Glacier Park International Airport is the closest airport found along Hwy 2 between Columbia Falls and Kalispell.   The closest Amtrak station is located in Whitefish, approximately 58 miles away.

Weather: Because Eureka sits in the banana belt of Montana, it has some of the more mild temperatures of the state. Average high temperature in the summer ranges from 76° in June, 84° in July, and 84° in August, with average lows in the upper 40s. June usually has the most rainfall with an average of 2.1 inches. The average high temperature in the winter ranges from 30° in December, 30° in January, and 38° in February, with average lows in the upper teens. The average snowfall in December and January is 12.5 inches.
