Geography: Surrounded by the Kootenai National Forest which includes the 94,000 acre Cabinet Mountain Wilderness.  The Kootenai River borders the north edge of town; The Yaak River, Lake Koocanusa Reservoir, and the Bull River are just a short drive away. 

Transportation: Closest Airport: Glacier International Airport 91 miles away in Kalispell. Libby Airport is a public airport located approximately 7 miles south of Libby.

Weather:  Average high temperature in the summer ranges from 78° in June, 88° in July, and 87° in August, with average lows in the mid 40s. June usually has the most rainfall with an average of 1.6 inches. The average high temperature in the winter ranges from 32° in December, 31° in January, and 40° in February, with average lows in the upper teens. The average snowfall in December and January is 17.5 inches.
