Geography: Livingston is surrounded by the Gallatin National Forest.  The Bridger Mountain Range and Crazy Mountains are to the north, the Absaroka Range and Beartooth Range are to the south, and the Gallatin Range to the southwest.  The Yellowstone River borders the eastern edge of town.

Transportation: Livingston is located on Interstate 90 just 33 miles east of Bozeman.  Gallatin Field is the closest commercial airport located a couple miles west of Bozeman.

Weather: Average high temperature in the summer ranges from 74° in June, 85° in July, and 83° in August, with average lows in the high 40s and low 50s.  May usually has the most rainfall with an average of 2.5 inches. The average high temperature in the winter ranges from 38° in December, 35° in January, and 39° in February, with average lows in the mid teens. The average snowfall per month from November through January is about 7 inches.
