Geography: Sheridan, Montana is situated between the Tobacco Mountains to the north and the Ruby Mountains to the south.  The Ruby River runs just south of town.  The Jefferson, Big Hole, and Madison Rivers are all within a short driving distance.

Transportation: Sheridan is located along State Hwy 287 between Twin Bridges and Ennis.   Dillon, MT is 34 miles southwest of Sheridan along Hwy 41.  The closest airport is Bert Mooney Airport located in Butte about 52 miles northwest.

Weather: Average high temperature in the summer ranges from 71° in June, 80° in July, and 80° in August, with average lows in the mid 40s.  June usually has the most rainfall with an average of 2.5 inches. The average high temperature in the winter ranges from 35° in December, 33° in January, and 38° in February, with average lows in the upper teens. The average snowfall in December and January is 10 inches.
