Geography:  Situated at the confluence of the St. Regis and Clark Fork rivers.   St. Regis is centrally located with access to Flathead Lake, Glacier/Waterton Parks, the National Bison Range and the Flathead Indian Reservation. St Regis is completely surrounded by Lolo National Forest.

Transportation:  Located at the intersection of Interstate 90 and Highway 135.  The closest airport is in Missoula, 80 miles southwest of St Regis.   The Greyhound bus systems stop in St Regis running along Interstate 90 from Missoula onto Idaho, Washington, and Oregon.

Weather:  Average high temperature in the summer ranges from 77° in June, 86° in July, and 86° in August, with average lows in the mid 40s.  May usually has the most rainfall with an average of 1.78 inches. The average high temperature in the winter ranges from 33° in December, 33° in January, and 40° in February, with average lows in the upper teens. The average snowfall per month in December and January is 14 inches.
