Montana's Bob Marshall Country

by Rick Graetz
Two Bears Press (May 1985) Softbound: 144 pages; ISBN: 0938314157

(From the book): This then is the story of the Bob Marshall Country. It is by no means complete. To be sure, one could dig for many hours into the historical background of the area for more colorful tales and perhaps the origin of a few more of the names. Indeed, I hope that as people read this book, they might send me suggestions of historical notes that should be included in any possible revised editions.
It should be emphasized again that this is a book describing wilderness, a very special place that requires great care upon the part of each visitor

(From the Introduction): An attempt to portray the Bob Marshall Country by way of text and photography. Look first at the geology, weather, wildlife, and history of the Bob Marshall Country, and then divide this vast land into geographic regions to get a feeling for the special qualities of each. Trails and access are discussed, but they are not covered in depth.
